The 2026 Native Plant Appreciation Month Poster Photo Contest is on!
Last Updated on October 14, 2025 by Tom Pratum

Do you have a collection of stunning photos showcasing Oregon’s native plants? Now that summer has passed and you’re spending more time indoors, why not take a moment to select your best shots and submit them for next year’s Native Plant Appreciation Month poster? Thanks to the passage of SB 547, April is now permanently designated as Oregon’s Native Plant Appreciation Month. Let’s celebrate this with the best poster ever and maximize our visibility and outreach!
Here’s how you can participate:
Each person may submit two photos of Oregon native plants. Photos must meet the following requirements:
- Taken in Oregon
- Include the photographer’s name
- Include the scientific and common names of the plants
- Include the photo’s location and date
All entries should be sent to ph********@***il.com and must be received by December 31, 2025. Photos will be evaluated by the poster committee based on subject matter, composition, and technical quality. The poster designer reserves the right to exclude an image if it doesn’t fit the overall design or if it’s deemed unsuitable for the poster.
If selected, photographers must be able to provide a high-resolution version of their image (at least 300 dpi) and preferably an unedited file. By submitting your photo, you consent to NPSO’s use of the image—free of charge—on our poster, website, social media, and related publicity materials.
Have questions? Feel free to reach out via email at ph********@***il.com.
We can’t wait to see your amazing photos!
