Help Us Grow: NPSO Seeks an Operations Coordinator Contractor

| As our chapters, committees, and volunteer programs continue to flourish, we are seeking a qualified contractor to help strengthen the operational foundations that support our mission. The Native Plant Society of Oregon announces a Request for Qualifications (RFQ) for an Operations Coordinator contractor – a part-time, flexible contract role that will work closely with our board president, treasurer, committee chairs, and volunteers across the state. This person will help keep NPSO running smoothly behind the scenes, with a focus on bookkeeping support for the Treasurer and Board communications coordination. Desired qualifications: We are seeking a person with solid bookkeeping or QuickBooks experience, strong coordination skills, and excellent organizational and communication abilities. Familiarity with tools like Google Workspace, Zoom, and Customer Relation Module systems such as Wild Apricot is a plus. This role requires a person who works well independently, collaborates effectively with volunteers, and demonstrates reliable follow-through. A bit about the role:Supports the treasurer with bookkeeping, and various financial statements and documents.Helps coordinate board, committee, and working group logistics.Assists with internal communications, operations tracking, and file organization.The details: This is an independent contractor position, working remotely, with an estimated commitment of 5–10 hours per week (averaging around 7 hours/week annually). Compensation is hourly and commensurate with experience ($25–$30/hour). The contractor will report to the NPSO President.
