Known for its spectacular waterfalls that attract 1.5 million visitors a year, Silver Falls State Park also has one of the most diverse populations of native plants in Western Oregon. Join Matt Palmquist as he talks about the history of the park and the common canyon and meadow wildflowers that can be seen in two hikes at Silver Falls that he will lead for the 2026 NPSO annual meeting. Matt is a park ranger at Silver Falls State Park where he has worked since 2007. Matt leads interpretive and educational programs throughout the park.
