Kayla Herriman, U.S. Forest Service National Seed Specialist, will explain why it is beneficial to process seed material and how understanding seed processing can improve your collection and storage strategies. We will talk about seed properties that inform collection, processing, and storage. There will also be some demonstrations of low-tech seed processing you can do at home. If you have collected seed, please bring it, and we can help answer your questions.
