Field Trip: Miller’s Property Botany Walk

May 17 @ 10:00 am - 11:30 am

Sunday, May 17, 10:00 am – 11:30 am
Field Trip: Miller’s Property Botany Walk
Leader: Marilyn Miller
Location: 60587 Barlow Trail, Bend, OR 97702
Join the High Desert Chapter on this botany walk on Miller’s property. Marilyn and Craig
Miller have graciously allowed us to take a stroll on their 10-acre property. Please park
on the street as it will be difficult for all of us to park in their driveway.
Marilyn is a Master Woodland Manager, a certified naturalist, and vice-chair of the
Deschutes Collaborative Forest Project. She is one of the original founders of the
collaborative and holds the environmental seat. She owns Miller Conservation Consulting.
She has been doing various bird surveys (and some mammal) for the past 25 years. She
has been advocating for wildlife habitat on our public lands for years. For fun Marilyn and
Craig spend their time birding, hiking, and traveling.
Craig is a retired emergency room physician. Craig helped form Oregon Natural Desert
Association almost 40 years ago and has been handling the organization’s Geographic
Information Systems for 25 years. Craig is an expert birder.
