Rooted in Community, Giving, and Growing with NPSO
Last Updated on December 2, 2025 by Tom Pratum
Reflecting on the season’s explorations, we’re reminded of why NPSO holds such meaning for so many of us. From the stately Steen’s mountain thistle to the brilliant golden bog-asphodel, Oregon’s native plants sustain wildlife, weave ecosystems, and deepen our sense of place. In the same way, NPSO is sustained by the participation, curiosity, and generosity of our members. Together, we share, celebrate, study, and conserve the remarkable plant diversity that enriches our landscapes and our lives.
This year, your engagement and support helped to:
- Connect hundreds of members and friends through field trips, educational programs, and volunteer plant surveys.
- Provide more than $40,000 to support OregonFlora, student research grants, and conservation partners.
- Continue to strengthen our capacity to serve our ever-growing membership of plant lovers.
As we set our sights on an exciting year of flourishing plans, we invite anyone feeling energized and abundant to join us with a year-end gift that helps propel NPSO forward. You can make a donation on our website Make a Donation| NPSO website.
We also celebrate that NPSO thrives because members bring far more than financial support – your knowledge, enthusiasm, and commitment are what keep this organization vibrant and connected statewide.
With deep gratitude – The Native Plant Society of Oregon
