Event: Fern Workshop (Indoors): Introduction to the Ferns of Oregon
Instructor: Roger Brewer
Location: Near Portland. Roger will provide location to the registered class.
Roger will teach the class the characteristics of ferns and how to identify the common and some of the uncommon ferns of northern Oregon and Washington. Learn the key features of fern plants and reproduction. Learn about the ferns found in northwestern Oregon: where they live, what habitats they grow in, their distinguishing characteristics, and how to distinguish fern species that are similar. The class will alternate between lecture and viewing fern samples.

There will be an optional hike to practice what you have learned on the following Sunday, June 29 (see separate field trip entry below for registration).
