Unless otherwise specified, all locations refer to the Best Western Plus Hood River Inn (BWHR Inn). The Columbia Room is on the mezzanine level, accessible via stairs located east of the main desk and an on-call elevator east of the stairs.
Friday Afternoon, May 29
Please note that this schedule is subject to change- 12:00 or 1:00 p.m. Field trips leave from BWHR Inn parking lot (look for NPSO sign). Your registration confirmation indicates departure time. Return by 4:30.
- 4:00 p.m. Meeting check-in opens at the bottom of the stairs that lead to the mezzanine level. Vendors in Columbia Room
- 4:30-8:30 p.m. No-host bar and coffee service, Columbia Room
- 5:30-7:00 p.m. Hors d’oeuvres buffet, Columbia Room
- 7:00-8:30 p.m. Welcoming remarks, Mid-Columbia Chapter. Program: Jeanette Burkhardt, watershed planner for the Yakama Nation fisheries, “Re-vegetating a century’s sediments: A restoration effort on the former Condit Dam Reservoir (White Salmon River)”
- 9:30 p.m. Vendors close
Saturday Morning, May 30
- 7:00-8:30 a.m. Late meeting check-in, information table, Columbia Room foyer
- 7:00 a.m. Breakfast buffet in Columbia Room (only for those who have pre-paid)
- 7:30-8:00 a.m. Pick up box lunches in Columbia Room foyer (pre-paid)
- 8:00 a.m. Gather in HR Inn parking lot for field trip departures at 8:30. Return no later than 4:30 p.m.
NOTE: You must be registered for the meeting to go on a field trip
Saturday Evening, May 30
- 4:00-6:00 p.m. Late meeting check-in, information table, Columbia Room foyer
- 4:30-6:00 p.m. Vendors, light snacks, no-host bar, coffee service, Columbia Room and Columbia Room foyer
- 6:00–7:30 p.m. Banquet in Columbia Room (pre-paid)
- 7:30 – 8:00 p.m. NPSO business meeting, Columbia Room
- 8:00 – 9:00 p.m. Keynote address by Keith Karoly, Professor of Biology, Reed College, “The ecology and evolution of wildflower colors – more than meets the eye”
- 9:30 p.m. Vendors and no-host bar close.
Sunday, May 31
- Breakfast on your own, except for Board Members.
- 8:30 a.m. Field trips meet in BWHR Inn parking lot for 8:45 departure. Return times variable.
- 8:30 a.m.-noon State Board Meeting, White Salmon Valley Community Library, 77 Wauna Ave, White Salmon WA (a map will be available at check-in).
