SUMMARY:NEW PROGRAM - Name That Plant!
DESCRIPTION:NEW PROGRAM – Name That Plant! \n\n\n\n\n\n\nMonday\, August 17\, 5PM-7PM\nSouthern Oregon University Science Hall Room 110 \nDo you want to brush up on your plant keying skills? Join us for our monthly plant keying party! As a group we will take plants through the dichotomous key to confidently identify the specimen. SOU will provide dissecting scopes and identification guides. All skill levels are welcome! Feel free to bring in a sample of a mystery plant (at least 10 sample cuttings \, so we can all work collaboratively to identify your plant; please no garden ornamentals)\, or work on a plant provided by the organizer.   If you have a plant to bring\, please do not overharvest wild plants. Make notes on when and where you collected. If you have a shrubby plant or tree\, take photos and additional notes. Please do not dig up any plants by their roots. \nPlease register in advance and receive additional information by joining our email list:\nhttps://mailchi.mp/562f15b6a145/name-that-plant\nAre you interested\, but can’t make this event? Sign up to the listserv and get an email for the next party!  We plan to offer these ID sessions every 3rd Monday of the month.
