Emerald Chapter in Lane County was founded in 1979. We have a long history of active involvement in the study, education and conservation of our region's native flora. Meetings and field trips are free and open to the public.

Activities:
Monthly meetings September to May with slide shows and exciting speakers. Meeting place: Eugene Water & Electric Board Training Room, 500 East 4th Avenue, Eugene.

Field trips to inspiring locations with expert leaders. For up to date meeting and field trip schedules, see the Emerald Section of the Calendar webpage.

Our Rare and Endangered (R & E) Plant group keeps watch over our County's rare and endangered flora.

Our proactive Conservation Committee members watchdog projects that may threaten local plant communities. We are responsible for collection and display of flowers for the annual Mt. Pisgah Arboretum Wildflower Festival in May. Our Native Gardening Awareness Program group is developing a list of local Native Plant Nurseries and working with owners to ensure that plants are ethically propagated.

Opportunities: we welcome new members. Please join and volunteer.
